Microsoft will get rightfully lynched if they miss 2006.  There is absolutely no reason why they should as the schedule gives them plenty of room to manouvre (in my opinion), especially if you take the sort of timeline that winsupersite says they are developing to.

2007? Can Microsoft really deliver a composited desktop 7 years behind Apple and 2 years behind Linux?

I doubt you'll get anyone who actually knows to comment on this though, nothing is said here by Microsoft that they wouldn't say anywhere else publically. I am also a little worried that LH will end up with the same relationship to XP that 98 had to 95.
