I actually really like the name. It will make a whole lot more sense to those who will only hear it when Vista is coming up to launch. What I don't get is the Visa/Vista thing. After all, Visa is veeee as first syllable and Vista is Vii as first syllable.

The one thing I really don't like is people calling it WinVi. "The next big thing is Win V I" makes me go white - anyone who has had to use vi on Unix/Solaris/Linux will know what I mean!

Makes sense... partially. "VI" is Roman for 6, which is the NT Kernel revision for WindowsVI.

Besides, I pronounce "Vi" (the text editor) as "ve" or "vee-eye".
