Hello World!!
1) I had heard that Microsoft plans to release Avalon/Indigo for XP. Does anyone know when Microsoft plans to do this? (a non beta version).

2) I have seen several posts/movies talking about the versatility of the avalon listbox. (Sorry I don't know the links off the top of my head.) My question is: Does anyone know if the avalon listbox has built in support for a selection rectangle (like the one you see when you are selecting multiple files in Windows Explorer).

Thanks!

IIRC, Avalon for Windows NT5.1/5.2 will be available shortly after Windows NT6 (I'll never call it "Vista"!) is released. But I may be wrong.

What type of "listbox" are we talking about here?

As far as I know, it doesn't support the selection rectangle right out of the box. Avalon, or as it is now called, WPF, is very flexible in allowing developers to customize the look, feel and functionality of the control. You could probably modify the listbox to your liking with relative ease.
