It is causing nothing but ill will - is not monitored and is pretty much a waste of time.

 it:

- depletes coffeehouse page views

- other - more democratic methods have been invented (istarted/c9

- is an excuse to chastize users who post in coffeehouse - to keep it alive

here:

Bug:  Coffeehouse feedback forum

Solution: Remove - or rename it Revolution 9

edit - if it was called that - i WILL use it

edit 2: i know im "death to stickies" guy - but id rather a sticky for rev9 than a separate forum

the coffeehouse rules!   *check it DAILY!

edit 3

"In order to serve our customers better we have combined feedback and coffeehouse in to one entity. We will still monitor all feedback posts - posted in coffeehouse.   This just makes it easier for our members to visit one URL - rather than two"

edit 4: oh - i forgot... nobody ever READS this forum.... maybe i should post this in the coffeehouse!

The right people read this forum. The purpose of this forum is not to get lots of visitors that discuss stuff, it's just to provide feedback to the C9 team. And it does so appropriately. The C9 devs are actually monitoring this forum more actively than the other forums. I remember one of the devs stating that in the past (using the RSS-feed?).

One of the reasons it should stay separate is because a lot of people don't want to see the Coffeehouse polluted with feedback that is usually quite boring. It's the same reason why there is a separate TechOff forum.

I'm not sure why you think that... I guess if you don't monitor it, then no one does?

Tommy is right, this forum is for feedback about the site to us, and for that purpose I think it works quite well. I like the features of sites like Long's user task force, but I think it is important to let people comment on the site itself, without another set of credentials.

I'm sorry, can't watch that video. Not available in my country. Sad

Maybe you could have a jamie only forum, which only Jamie sees, and has a bot posting as an MS person saying "Interesting" "OK" and other bland platitudes as replies. After all he wants C9 to be his vision and for just him - this would solve a lot of problems.
