Thank you all for the reports: Banned and Posts deleted. Keep em coming when you find them and we will ban/delete. Yes, we do need to build out a plan for a moderation strategy. I'll own that.

Great...
Marking the thread about spam as spam. Fun!
(edit: removing "in reply to" as it still contains the spam, which has been deleted)

(would be nice if the team had e-mail monitoring of this thread; well RSS + email dispatch is of course possible)

I've just been hitting "Mark as spam" when I see spam. Hope that button actually does something.
The problem with "Mark as spam" (which the spammers have figured out) is when you put spam as a reply to a legitimate message.
I've been marking the whole thread as spam anyways. I figure Charles is smart enough to figure it out.
The real problem comes when a spammer posts spam twice in a thread (the second time after spam has been removed). Then you can't report it again.

I wish the C9 team wasn't so stupid to take away my mod powers and then let the forums drown in spam.

Not sure if this will post correctly (I can't get past the first page of this post), but http://channel9.msdn.com/Niners/hdconverter/ is a spam poster.

EDIT: Hmm, posting seems to have fixed my thread viewing problem for this thread ...
