and then i coumplete the code like this:

when i tried to compile to code i got this error:

C:\Documents and Settings\ssarfaty\Desktop\Project7\Project7\Program.ssc(18,15): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'dou' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

enen if i delete the double string and wirte the double string manualy it still gives the same error
the only way i found to by pass this is by creating a new empty project and writing double without using the auto complete "ctrl+space"

Display Length of Video in RSS Text

This is a "feature" request. Could you display the length of a video in its description that goes through on the RSS feed please? I watch/listen to a lot of channel 9 videos as I work. Many times there are more videos than it is possible for me to watch and it would help me prioritize some to know how long they are before I download them.

Hey folks, we've uploaded a new version of our player to the beta site, using Silverlight 2 this time. That means you'll be able to embed using an OBJECT tag soon, instead of through the iFrame method that we've had available before now.

The C9 frontpage is going completely AWOL on Google Chrome AND Firefox 3.0.

Seriously, go back to using tables for layout if you can't use CSS properly. It's more important that is works in all browsers than that it does fancy stuff. You still haven't fixed the editor bug in Chrome that means you can't use formatting either for that matter, or the bug that means that when you login sometimes everytime you click Reply it goes through passport login only to redirect you to the front page of that thread, ad infinitum.

Really, Microsoft of all companies ought to be able to get such simple things right, particularly in a site dedicated to developers.

Unable to play videos

404'd Images cause endless progressbar

When clicking on the image, which is 404'd, the loading progressbar never times out and goes away, and there is no button or other way to cancel it; the whole page must be refreshed.

Taskbar Help

I've installed Windows 7 32bit that I got at the PDC. Everything is working except the task bar. My windows are translucient, so it appears that Aero is running, but I'm getting the old vista task bar and not the nifty new win7 bar that was demoed at PDC. What give?

PDC Video playback issues

I love the content of the PDC Videos and I am thankful that Microsoft and Channel 9 are making them available for all to see. Thank you!

However, I do have a couple of annoying issues with the video player, specifically the PDC videos that show the people talking and the slides/demos side-by-side:

1) Frequent stuttering (every few minutes, also after resuming playback from pause). I have Verizon FIOS with >15MB speed and a new Quad processor so I don't think it's a bandwidth issue on my side.

2) When expanding to full screen (the only way to really see the detail on these side-by-side videos), the control bar at the bottom slides out of view and I can't get it to come back (tried moving mouse to various edges, hovering nearby, left and right clicking). Once it goes away, the only way to get it back is to hit ESC.

I don't know if it's just me, but I hope these issues can be fixed soon. I have the latest Silverlight installed and I thought that Silverlight was supposed to make video playback better but so far it's actually worse for me than Windows Medial Player.

STILL, or possibly even more so..

My avatar has always been broken on this site, recently now its gone from:

broken image, xbl gow icon

To:

broken image, xbl gow icon, generic c9 icon

I finally got fed up of waiting and uploaded an icon.. it worked but then 10 minutes later my icon was back to:

broken image, xbl gow icon, generic c9 icon

..key thing I've taken away from v4 is that people stopped complaining not because it got better or they learned to love it, but they just learned to accept it'll never be right..

The posting thing auto selecting a quote for example, people haven't learned to love it.. people have learned they have to click two things now when posting on channel 9..

Visiting a profile == crash

When I visit a profile with Opera, Internet Explorer or Chrome, the Silverlight thingy on the right (PDC Badges) crashes the browser. Opera and Chrome crash immediately, IE just freezes. Firefox and Safari work fine (they just don't show the Silverlight thingy).

For the last couple of days, the site has been slow, unresponsive, timing out, failing to post replies, or offline entirely. Also, it's nearly impossible to find PDC session videos.

All this during one of the most important weeks of the year. What a great experience.

If I make an ordered list when writing a post, it shows up as an unordered list. See here:

Also here. If you edit the post, they show up the way they're supposed to again in the editor, but saving the post still turns it into unordered.

Edit: I suppose the correct phrase in this case is numbered list/bulleted list.

I was repsonding to a thread and pressing the Delete key didn't do anything. Backspace continued to work fine.

Delete is working in this box.

edit - it also works when I edit.

Channel9 design flaw

So, lets say you open up an application in Windows ( or whatever OS ), you got some data to manage. Say, a large list of customers. You scroll down to the middle of the list... and POOF! the top menu and/or the toolbar containing your tools is GONE! Or say you work in Word and you scroll down 10 pages into your document and POOF, your office ribon is GONE! Where is it? Oh yeah, you have to scroll ALL THE WAY UP TO SEE IT AGAIN!

Now, in such case you would probably get angry, or laugh.

WHY is it that in websites generally, even Channel9 is this behaviour accepted? If I open up a thread and scroll down, the top menu is GONE! If that isn't a design flaw in usability, I don't know what is.
