When tyring to install VC# Express, I having a major problem that I want to see if anyone here know of a help. I have posted the same question over at the microsoft forums for VC# Ide help.

When I go into VC# Express, I can not use my keyboard at all inside the editor. I can type but the backspace key does not work.  Trying to setup a simple project and then going into the class file, the keyboad does not produce any kind of response.

Note : I do also have Visual Web Developer Express also installed and everything works their so it has to VC# Express.

Another problem is that VC# Express does not save its config files for the ide nor when I go into Import/Export, it will say "Aborted by the user" and I have not done anything with any kind of setting I have tried.

I would like to try VC# Express and see how its compared to VS2003 which I do have installed and use.

keys work either? In mine if there is not enough memory (I think), I can't use most keyboard functionality and need to close it and come back in 5 minutes.
How much memory in your system? are you using the same C# express as your current keyboard language? i.e. is everything unified.. langage english.. english kb, english version of os, english version of c# express.. no mui packs installed etc.. you've obviously got something amiss here

What keyboard language are you using?  If you're using another layour, try changing it to English (en_us) and see what happens.

OK.  Did you have any betas installed?  Or maybe you just need to reinstall and start over again.

You shouldn't have to uninstall VWD, but I think you may want to try reinstalling VC#.  Get the files to do an offline install in case it doesn't work and you have to uninstall and reinstall both--  that way you don't have to redownload.

Hate to reply to myself but I just wanted everyone to know that I have my problems fixed.  I posted over at forums.microsoft.com and James Lau, program manager of the Visual Studio Line, helped me fix it.

please post a link and/or solution. I have the same problem with Visual Studio 2005.
