Well to day i was sitting in school doing course work as you do Tongue Out, and i had 4 BSOD in like 1:30 - 2 hrs. It keeps coming up with something like IRQ_DRIVER _NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS.. ok no idea what that means Perplexed.

But here is the strange part. For some reason this only ever occurs when im in my school, and never when im at home. Wierd.

Its so annoying becuase ill be right in the middle of something and on a role and all of a suddeen it just goes Mad and then have to wait for it all ot boot up again. it sasy its created a .dmp file somewhere lol but i cnt find it.

i think ull prob need more info but any one have any ideas on what that irq thing means or how i could fix it or reduce the amoutn of times it happens.

Thanks.

Is there some device - maybe a wireless network card - you only use when at school but not at home?

...because you're using school-provided hardware and not your own?

(Or are you using your own hardware?)

excuse me - do you has a flavor?
Does your CPU get overheated?

Or is there a bad sector in your memory?

Also make sure that your drivers are up to date.

How do i check to see if i have bad sectors in my memory? is there any good free tool i can use?

And im not sure what the standard temp is meant to be. But i have been noticing my laptop getting hot over the past weeks.

I have just updated my wirless card driver through device manager.

You download Memtest86, and just boot it, and let it run for 12 hours, or more(The more the better).

If your CPU core gets over 70C, you should try and do something.

Yeah, laptops have the habit of overheating, I hear it's because the thermal-paste isn't correctly applied when they're built.

Ah, it's just me!
Same IRQ_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or whatever happened when I was using Virus Protection software while trying to install VMWare workstation 5.5.

I had to uninstall the virus protection before installing VMWare, then reinstall.

Is there some kind of software you are running that has anything to do with hardware when you are only at school?
