You have to admire anyone that tries to enter the mobile market space with something new, because, and lets be totally honest here, no-one really likes trail blazing something unless it is already (or has the potential to be) head and shoulders above the competiton and in a completely obvious way.
The Pocket PC running .NET CF on a DELL, Tosh or HP is fast becoming the de-facto standard. Sony would be better off entering the space with there own offering, and thats usually with bags of style. Bound to be an easy win.
As for Sony joining forces with IBM, please!!! It's like an ugly Gazelle breading with a Hippo after a few beers at a good party, cos they feel they have too. Just plain nasty and someone is going to get squashed!
