Delay in opening of office document

Hi all,

I am facing a very problem and I am not able to trace the exact reason behind this problem.
I am working on a winform application having late bind excel object.

1) Application is running and excel object is not created yet.
        if user opens any office document with double-click it opens up in 2-3 seconds.

2) Application is running and excel object has been created.
        if user opens the office document with doubleclick it takes 1 minute. 
        if user opens the same document with File>Open it opens in 2-3 seconds..


Please give some suggestion.

Yep,

 

Same here it's really sad that w/ the most recent version of Service Pack it still does this.. I have office 2007 sp2 on windows 7 Enterprise RTM.  When I had Windows 7 7600 applying SP2 Fixes the Issue.  I have used multiple virus Scanners.  ? for you man you opening off a network share or you opening it locally.

I also have seen this bahavior. Doesn't matter if the open is from a network or local source.

I usually just close the office app and then double click the document again, or use File-Open....

Pain in the backside....
