Before C# there was darkness...
What am I missing.  After so many years, there is still no way (I see) that you can simply right click and Backup or copy all the projects and files in a solution to backup location (i.e. mesh folder, SkyDrive, etc).  Sure you can open Explorer, but the solution root may not contain all the projects - they may be in other roots.  This seems like such low hanging fruit.  Or have I just been missing something?  tia

Check out ZipStudio, which is a VS add-in to zip up all relevant files. Then you can do whatever to that zip.

Source Safe ? that would keep the files and track chnages.

or if you just want a "Backup copy"  there is a microsoft "Power Toy" called SyncToy that can echo / sync folders across devices.
you could run that with task shed. to copy your projects folder to another drive / computer from time to time.
