Hi,

I want to run 2 applications at full screen mode in only 1 screen/monitor.
Is there a way to manually set the coordinates or the max size of a full screen resolution regardless of the application?

For example, if the screen resolution is 1024x768, setting an app to full screen would normally fill 1024x768.
I'm planning to revise it by doing it this way,
App1 at full screen : 1024x400 (occupying upper half of the screen)
App2 at full screen : 1024x368  (occupying lower half of the screen)

And both are running simultaneously.

Its more like some virtual desktop applications but I'm looking if it can be done in XP alone (without 3rd party softwares).
Or maybe just free thrird party softwares will do.

Do PM me, if you don't want to publicly share a solution.

Thank you.

Monkey see, monkey do, monkey will destroy you!
Open the 2 apps, Ctrl+click on the taskbar button of each. Right click on one and pick "Show Windows Stacked" from the menu
Actually I think it's "Tile Horizontally" on XP.

They won't be in full-screen mode though.  As far as I know, there is no way to do this.

If i get it right what you want is to make 2 apps run in fullscreen mode in 1 monitor. It is possible in some Linux versions as Ubuntu with multidesktops. Well both the apps are running in 1 screen, but not at the same time. Multi desktop can  be done in Xp/vista with some software, like this free one:
MultiDesktop Manager 0.3.8 (Right click-save target as...)

Or you can use 'dual screen' mode.
If so theres what you can do (for xp. In vista its similar):

-Plug-in the 2nd screen.
-Go to your desktop and click settings.
-Click the 'settings' tab.
-Click in the blue square with a '2' on it.
-Check the 'Extend my desktop onto this monitor'.
-Apply.
-To make 2 apps run in full screen just drag 1 to the 2nd screen, change it to fullscreen then turn the other app to fullscreen too.

I hope this helps.
