Last week one of our users reported an error with one of our applications.  This application, which is currently written in VB6, uses a couple of Microsoft Access databases.  She now has MS Access 2007 installed.  I finally had a chance to get to her machine and see what the error was.  It said,

"The entry <C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\JULIE\MY DOCUMENTS\TEMPORARY ASI.LDB> in the hash map cannot be updated.

Context:  Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details: A device attached to the system is not functioning.  (0x8007001f)"

Microsoft Access 2007 is involved.  That is the log file for one of the 2 MS Access databases.  I'd like to know if anyone has seen this error before with MS Access.

"She now has MS Access 2007 installed"

Did she before?

I couldnt get my access 2002 apps to run correctly in 2007.

I'm not sure that error has anything to do with Access. As far as I know this error is generated by the search indexer (Windows Desktop Search).
