I'm running the Windows 7 RC (x64) but I'm not an official tester so I can't file bugs/enhancement requests... can anyone here do it?

I just wrestled with my Drobo for hours and was *this* close to switching to Mac OS on my Mac Mini (which I'm now thankfully leaving boot camped with Windows 7) over this.  The transfer speeds via FW 800 with the built in Microsoft drivers (from 2006?!) were around 2.5 MB/s for reads.  In Mac OS X I was getting 50+ MB/s!

Thanks to the Unibrain ubCore firewire drivers I'm now getting 50+ MB/s in Windows 7.  This is _NOT_ a Mac/boot camp issue... reading reports on the drobo forums, it happens to many people.  The issue is that the MS firewire driver is ancient......

Did you do an upgrade from Vista?

All the *1394*.sys drivers on my laptop were compiled in april 2009.
