Media Center wtv file thumbnail ?

Media Center in Windows 7 use the wtv file format for recorded tv show. There is one thing that I really dislike, to create the thumbnail for those files, we must go to recorded tv under Media Center. With Vista, explorer was able to create the thumbnail. Repro anyone ?

lol I think you meant the "wtv" format. I haven't noticed that issue, but I don't think I've checked for thumbnails on recorded shows before I've watched them.

Oups ! It is wtv. I watch the show on a Zune and without a thumbnail, it is not pretty. Any idea what is the difference between wtv and dvr-ms ?

I know that they're both containers for MPEG2 video.

 

I know that WTV was introduced with the TV pack for Vista, which also enabled ClearQAM support, so perhaps there's some extra pieces for that support.
