From the depths of Wales I come

Following a discussion in work.

 

Whats your opinion on being able to drag columns, and order columns, in web pages (also windows applications from explorer to err well whatever) using things like javascript and err oracle forms.

 

Do you think that it's a little used feature, or even that if the feature is included it means it was poorly designed in the first place.

I often wonder if my users even know they can drag columns. I don't think including the functionality is a result of poor design though. The big thing to think about is whether or not a grid is the best choice.
