It may have been some of the .NET framework or one of the critical updates but I found that the problem was actually that somehow the LOOPBACK device ( The phantom network adapter at 127.0.0.1 ) was somehow uninstalled on&amp;nbsp;this particular machine. But is it registered properly with Microsoft. I had a system once that would not register ( It was XP Pro though ). Until I was able to register it via the registration dohickey I was unable to apply any of the large service packs.
