The lighting got me at first, but then I figured it out.  Is that a cardboard cutout at the MS Museum?

That's a cut out from a somewhat famous picture from 1976.

If someone on here claimed to be Bill Gates, who would beleive him? Smiley

On another note, has the reason behind the "mugshot" picture ever been explained?

Nice.  It's good to know he has a lead foot, too. Wink

The Pirates of Sillicon Valley movie had him driving a tractor on a corn field after one too many.  Where the heck did that story come from?

"Gates, who was becoming increasingly frustrated at having his 959 eternally tied up in the Port of Oakland’s “free trade zone,” suggested to Canepa that perhaps they could federalize the car by buying a number of sacrificial 959s to “crash and test.”

I've probably got the most seniority of anyone at MS looking at this board fwiw.

The only person of the original 12 that's still at Microsoft is Bill Gates.

Or they all gave up their positions to Bill Gates..
Do you guys get to/have met Bill Gates yet? If you have not, and will soon, tell him that there is another Steve coming his way. SOON! Smiley

Hopefully to replace the current one.   Do a "Lee Iaccoca" on him and send him to some Microsoft CD packing warehouse so he knows what it is like to really do some work.

why would he - the picture is up in the microsoft museum

Kinda reminds me of my 8th grade class picture.

Anyhow, I'm not sure how you are maintaining your moblog, but I just wrote an addin for Microsoft Outlook 2003 that makes it a breeze to keep your moblog up to date.

All you have to do is email a picture from the phone to an email address that Outlook picks up, and the addin does the rest.  It uploads the picture and creates the weblog entry.

Check out MoBlogger Addin at http://workspaces.gotdotnet.com/modblogger.  Oh, and did I mention it's 100% free?  I coded it for myself and then figured everyone is welcome to use it too. Oh, and it's written in C#, so it's guaranteed to be cool.

Where can I get the names of the founders?

A man of compassion is a man of passion!
is mr. balmer part of the first microsoft guys?
No.

The first Microsoft guys were Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Allen contracted Hodgkin's disease in 1983 which forced him to leave active management of Microsoft. He remained a director until 2000. His most recent claim to fame is being a major sponsor of the SpaceShipOne project.

Ballmer joined in 1980 and has had a variety of roles in marketing and management. He formerly worked for Proctor & Gamble for two years after attending Harvard, where he met Gates. Unlike Gates, he graduated - Gates dropped out to form Microsoft.

I can't find a reference for the people in the photograph right now - I know that the names are listed in Hard Drive.

This is photo that was taken in 1978, names are as follows:

Starting from the top, left: Steve Wood, Bob Wallace & Jim Lane
Next row: Bob O'Rear, Bob Greenburg, Marc McDonald & Gordon Letwin
Next row: Bill Gates, Andrea Lewis, Marla Wood & Paul Allen
