Using Access 2010 and SharePoint 2010 Services

Microsoft Access 2010, through Access Services in SharePoint 2010, is now web enabled, allowing developers to easily create and share databases online. 

Today, we introduced a new unit to our Office 2010 beta training course. This update consists of a hands-on lab that helps developers understand the benefits of starting from Access 2010 templates, learn basic data design modification for Web databases, learn about Web form modification and creation, how to use navigation forms, and the new data macro editing environment.

SharePoint 2010 Training Kit Update

Today we released an update to our SharePoint 2010 Developer Training Kit on the Microsoft Download Center. This update adds a fully downloadable version of the training course and includes Hands On Labs (HOLs) for all of the training units. The new HOLs will be added to the Channel 9 online course soon. To download the kit, go to the SharePoint 2010 Course and click on the green button to the right.

Silverlight 4 Training Course Available

We just announced the availability of the Silverlight 4 training course.

This course focuses on three major areas: Enabling business application development, empowering richer experiences, and moving beyond the browser. The course includes hands-on-labs, a video, and an overview whitepaper that discusses the key features in Silverlight 4.[more ]

Azure, High Performance Computing and Identity Training Courses!

We published three new developer training courses today. Enjoy!

  • Windows Azure Platform Training Course. A comprehensive set of technical content including samples, demos, hands-on labs, and presentations that are designed to expedite the learning process for the set of technologies released as part of the Windows Azure Platform.
  • Windows High Performance Computing (HPC) Course. Explore conceptual basics of HPC Server 2008, what can it do for you and how can you start using it. Administration, development patterns and techniques, and tools for tracing, tuning and debugging are addressed.
  • Identity Developer Training Course. Learn about how to take advantage of technologies such as Windows Identity Foundation to easily solve authentication, authorization and identity-driven personalization challenges.
