In an attempt to learn C++ & DirectX, I ported a game called "Star Ranger" for the C-64. The code is rough, but playable (I hope).

Seriously, very fun game... I like the graphics, very retro... I didn't play the original so can't give you points for accuracy but accurate or not, very good... Smiley

Thanks. I tried to keep it as close to the original as possible, but they couldn't do much with 320x200x16 colors. BTW, I don't think they'd invented cheats yet back in '83. But Loadsgood would've found the cheats I put in there... Smiley

Anyway, here they are:

<br>MTC0  - Turn collision checking off<br>MTC1  - Turn collision checking on<br>MTCM0 - Hide collision mesh<br>MTCM1 - Show collision mesh<br>MTSN  - Jump to the 'Nasties' stage<br>MTSB  - Jump to the 'Bombers' stage<br>MTSC  - Jump to the 'Cibolians' stage<br>MTSA  - Jump to the 'Asteroids' stage<br>MTSI  - Jump to the 'Invisons' stage<br>MTSM  - Jump to the 'Moonbase' stage<br>MTL+  - Jump to the next level<br>MTL-  - Jump to the previous level<br>MTV   - Add one life<br>MTFPS - Show frame per second<br>MTW   - Warp ahead a little bit<br>MTD   - Die<br>

Nice game Minh,hey just noticed something and like to know if its a feature or a bug Wink

if i loose all the lives and i continue by pressing fire button the game starts again with the same score Big Smile

hence the score count goes on increasing . i didn't cross even the first level though:(
