Tyler Ballance: live from the SilverlightDevCamp in San Francisco

This weekend I attended the SilverlightDevCamp in San Francisco and met R. Tyler Ballance of Slide.com.  The DevCamp ran Friday night and then all day Saturday, but by the end of the first day Tyler was working on re-implementing one of their current Flash apps in Silverlight.  Right before the DevCamp was over, I was able to interview him about his coding experience and learning the nuances of Silverlight.

Good to see kinney doing this kind of work Smiley More of it!

Silverlight looks very interesting, and with moonlight coming it might be something we can use for a few things as well. Sweet.

On anothe note, why was this tagged with python exactly? There was no mention of it in the video.

Thanks prencher.  I just removed the Python tag, when I was posting the video I was thinking of our other conversations around the DLR and IronPython, which unfrotunately I did not get on video.

This video doesn't play. I can usually play C9 videos in the browser ot just click on full screen and it pays in WMP11 but this one doesn't work that way.
I right clicked on the .WMV and it's downloading so at least that works.

I had problems with streaming the video too. I also had to download it.
