Alexander Gounares has one of the most interesting jobs in the world. For the past two years he's been Bill Gates' technical assistant. Now he's corporate vice president of corporate strategy. In this, Scoble's last interview for Channel 9 (you will see earlier interviews of Scoble's in the near future, but this was his last one behind the camera for C9..), Scoble and Alexander talk about everything from why Alexander elevates his monitor with reams of paper to what working with Bill Gates was like.

Come here little guy, we'll console eachother until he decides that he's making the BIGGEST mistake of his life by leaving the c9 crea...oh the calamity that will follow! The walls are already beginning to chip away, the birds have left their water-hole, and the valley-deer have retreated into hiding for the drought is near, and all calamity will follow...

A bit dramatic, eh? Smiley

I guess this was apt for this last interview. Saw lot of talk about pros/cons on MS, what things have changed in last few years, about the culture, etc... something that we got a true understanding with Robert's blog and his C9 (along with others in the C9 team) initiative.

When's the exit interview coming guys Smiley ? I was hoping for it to be just in time for the tuesday fireworks

We should have Bill gates interview him for few mins Smiley

A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent.
There is something wrong with the encoding.  It does not play at the faster speed in media player (ctrl+shift+G).  And, it seems rather low-res.
Nice. I'm from Alabama too. Smiley

So tell me, why don't you have an accent? I get asked that all the time and it'd be great to have some new answers onhand...

This was a great video to go out on. It was broad enough that it ended up being a nice retrospective in addition to everything else. Looking forward to the exit interview. Well done, Robert.
I can't believe this guy is the VP of Strategy...Nice diagram Sad  ...I think I am going to sell of of my MSFT stock tomorrow.
