Brian Cross and Mel Sampat talk about some of the new APIs in Windows Mobile 5.0 and what people can see at MEDC 2006. See some of the new devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 and meet WiMo, the Windows Mobile Robot.

I love the length of the explanation for how WiMo works... Sure the whole thing is a bit over engineered... it’s still a great and entertaining demo of what can be done with the platform and devices that support it.

I love the streaming of the smartphone camera. Anyone have any kind of sample code for that???

:// 13one

I'll be posting sample code and all the info on how to build WiMo in the coming days... stay tuned to http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile

Right now, i'm just using the ImageSink Filter, so it's very inefficient, but i do get about 1 to 2 frames per second.  I'll post the code to that as well, and then post updates as i get it tuned.

The download link isn't working. Can you please check it out?

Thanks,

Yaggii

PS. I haven't found anything that could tell me if it's possible to updtae my QTek S100 with windows mobile 5.0... And were can i get WM5.0. If anyone knows please tell me...

these are super cool gadgets. Windows Mobile rocks. Terrific demos Mel and Brian. Keep more of these coming Scoble...

Well done gentlemen!  I will be breaking ground on CBLPath's first WiMo-based coffee machine next week.

I love the level of detail that you managed to pack into this demo.  The new capabilities of Windows Mobile are going to be extremely useful in a courier management product that we're gearing up for this fall.
