The SQL Server team has released an interactive Silverlight-based Cost Analysis Tool, which allows you to change different values to see your possible savings when setting up your IT department. An addition to handy visuals, its interesting to note that this is a light-weight companion to the Full version.

I'm not even interested in SQL (not sure what it even does) but this app is fantastic! Great use of Silverlight. Hats off to the agency that designed this one.

Thanks for the kind comment, glad you liked it. We designed the app here at Metia.

I agree, this really brings the concepts and benefits of SQL to life. Never heard of Metia before, but, in doing a little research, it is obvious they are at the top of the heap when it comes to creating dynamic Silverlight experiences. I am green with envy at their talent.

Cool! Very functional and fun to play with. Metia, huh? I'll have to look you up and send some projects your way. You guys rock! Are you near Redmond? We'd love a local agency that produces this kind of work. Puts MRM, Wunderman, HL2, Hornall Anderson, Ascentium, and all the others in the region to shame! The bar has been raised ...
