Jessica Arnold from the Office team takes Scoble on a quick tour of the new features of Outlook 2007 including the new "To-Do Bar" that integrates your calendar and tasks into one quick easy view, in-place attachment viewing, and more.

Update: Beta 2 is available on microsoft.com now...

It adds RSS but does it add newsgroups (NNTP)?

Will it, or can I import my PST file?

Can it "Save as web page" your calender in an automated fashion (e.g. Every time you exit Outlook)? Answered but don't like the answer I got.

Have they removed "Plain Text" from the Outlook editor? Does it only support HTML messages now?

Look, no errors.
Have they removed the problems relating to this yet?
It's about time we get some infos on Outlook 2007! Word and Excel have been stealing the show for far too long!

Can't wait for the download to complete!

Thanks!

Scoble gets all the good interviews...poor chazz.

Good to see the ribbon implemented here as well.

Loving Office 2007 so far. Smiley

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...
I'm about three minutes into the video, so it may be answered in there, but: is IMAP support improved. In Outlook 2003, a lot of stuff just doesn't work with an IMAP account. You don't get the toaster popups when you receive new mail, if people send you tasks or appointments per e-mail they don't work on an IMAP account, and a few other things.

I would greatly appreciate seeing all (or at least some of) that stuff fixed.
Hey scoble, you mentioned your boss suddenly in the conversation. Who is your boss anyway?

Yeah, my boss is Jeff Sandquist. We got a new camera, which makes things a lot nicer.
