Shanen, a member of the Vista team from the beginning, takes me through a bunch of features in the Beta 2 release of Vista. We get to see event reporting, new policy management features, some IE security features, and a cool help option that actually handles doing the work for you.
Some entertainment features are also covered such as Media Center on a Tablet and the new URGE music service that works with Windows Media Player 11.

What is not clear to me is if MSN Desktop search, as we know it today (
http://desktop.msn.com/
) is available from that search box in the start menu as well. So I can type "from:jeroen to:mike" and then see all emails matching those criteria.
Or does the search box in the start menu only search through start menu items?

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...

The search on the start menu searches all indexed locations. I just tested your from:x to:y example and it works fine, it finds my mail items from Outlook 2007 without any problems.

Who makes that Tablet that he was using?
It sounded like Shanen said that the New York Times WinFX application has been featured in another video... Any idea which video or when we get to see the application without the glare?

I actually don't think it was featured in another video... and the Tablet was from "Motion" I believe.
I'll try to track down when we will have some more info about that demo up, and don't worry we'll get some better footage without the reflection
Update:
here is some info on that Times app
... I'm still looking to the possibility of demo... and my apologies again about the glare, I'm new to this whole video thing

Vista is great. Beta 2 might be a little bit buggy, but the final version is going to be great.
