Please be clear. Your Windows 8 is the server copy not the client?

Currently this is only available on a server environment. This is one of my favorite features of Windows 8, since I currently have Hyper-V running on a Windows 2008 R2 Server.
How will hyper-v affect the performance of the system when no vm is running ?
