Unified Logging (TM) : collect data, analyze trends and create alerts in the cloud, powered by Windows Azure

Unified LoggingTM is a pay-per-usage based service that allows companies to focus on building solutions that address customer needs through a cloud based data collection service that does the heavy lifting for logging and data collection, resulting in application intelligence that can be used for multiple purposes. The applications send data to Unified Logging using pre-built connectors for different languages and environments, including .NET, log4j, Windows Phone, iOS, and Android.
In this interview, John Luif - founder and lead architect for UL Analytics - shares with us the motivation to build this service, the technology behind the solution running on Windows Azure, and their experience working with Microsoft as an incubation / BizSpark partner.
