IM an Expert is a publicly available Lync instant messaging question-and-answer service that automatically connects participants with experts who can answer their questions. Users can opt-in, and then the service harnesses the database of experts to connect people together via IM.
In Part 1 of this series, Ross Smith, Director of Test, OCDG, gives an overview of IM an Expert. He describes how the idea came about, shows the user interface, and explains how the service fits in with the overall Lync platform vision.
