The UK MCS User Experience Team and a number of UK partners have been working on WPF for over 12 months and this Real World WPF series is intended to show some of their work and capture/share some of their learnings.

The BSF Showcase is a proof of concept produced by the UK MCS User Experience team to show how new technologies might be used in the future to better support education. A number of Microsoft’s latest technologies were used, in particular WPF. The proof of concept is an example of what tools used in education might look like in 2012.

The video was captured at 1024x768 so we recommend running it full screen if possible. NB There is also a follow-on video, 'behind the scenes' showing some of the technologies and techniques used to produce this proof of concept.

Not sure if it's just me, but the download seems to be a corrupt file (plays for a short while then says it needs a different codec)

Yup,

same here - the playback stop after a couple of minutes. It doesn't matter if you donwload the file or watch it directly.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 btw and Windows Media Player 10.
Not only you, and not only this video, the BSF Showcase behind the scenes is corrupted too.
This is really good and very inspiring. Is there any chance that you could explain how an artist may create the spinning globe with the web pages in Expression Blend using dynamic data?

many thanks for your help up front.
