Ehhh...is this 2005 or 1995? Web-developers have had these functionalities for over 10 years without .NET 2.0 - sorry.

I think you missed the point of the video;

In 1995 you could not implement a registration/login/forgotten password/ personalisable site with roles without writing a single line of code.

In 1995 you could not create customisable front page (web parts) without writing reams and reams of javascript and back end code

In 1995, the concept of master pages meant work for the developer.
