Dopo il rilascio della RC1, in questo video Pietro Brambati e Mario Fontana fanno il punto sulle nuove funzionalità di IE8 : dal nuovo motore di rendering compatibile con gli standard CSS 2.1, gli approcci alla compatibilità per i siti esistenti ottimizzati per versioni precedenti di IE, la nuova developer toolbar e le novità per estendere le funzionalità del browser attraverso: Web Slices, Accelerators, Visual Search provider ed infine le novità per chi sviluppa applicazioni AJAX.
