Project Silk from the patterns & practices team provides guidance for building cross-browser web applications that use rich graphics, interactivity, and a responsive user interface (UI) to enable an immersive and engaging user experience (UX). These applications use the latest web standards like HTML5, CSS3 and ECMAScript version 5, and modern web technologies such as jQuery, and ASP.NET MVC3.
This is the first video in a series on Project Silk and the Mileage Stats Reference Implementation, a real-world customer facing web application that provides users with the ability to track and compare their vehicles: fuel efficiency, usage, operation costs, and the scheduling of vehicle maintenance reminders.
