SQL Server is one of the most tested pieces of software in the world. If you remember from our tour they have four labs full of hundreds of computers that mostly do testing. Someone needs to write the software that does the testing. Here's two guys who are writing new software to test SQL Server.

Discussed here are Aruba (code-name of the tool they made), Test Day 2005, and how SQL Server is leveraging that technology.

And so, the /.ification begun.

*Sigh*

ouch... that is so mean... to be called a /.er...

Nah, I follow the philosophy of posting first... asking questions later...

Now more on topic. This is cool, but how will that help me, other than getting a bug free version of MSSQL 2005.
That would be awesome to implement our process of debugging applications at work.

Not sure I understand what this is over a custom unit test tool for a big team.  And what they actually patented (i.e how to parse log files and put that into a DB and access that with a client gui)?  Other then specific team functions, what does this add over the stuff built into Team System 2005?  Is there some algos that help you find bugs better based on the exception logs?  Should next version of Team System implement some of the key features not put into exisiting Team System?  Why or why not?  Cheers
