It would be a great piece of software which myself and I'm sure alot of other people would use daily between there computers, if it supported (in my case) Windows Server 2003. This is the computere where all my harddrives are, this is the computer from which I want to copy stuff onto my tablet, this is the computer that needs Windows Media Connect, but isn't supported.

Agreed. i got a Roku Soundbridge, and i need to make do with iTunes (which - well, let me say it politely - isn't perfect Wink

, because WMC not only doesn't run under Windows Server 2003 (understabable, since the UPnP is missing) but, what is worse, also refuses to serve files from a network drive.

While having WMC run on the Server would be ideal, i'd be perfectly happy havingit run on my (always on) desktop - if it could serve the mp3s located on my server... Sad

. Let's hope WMC2 will at least fix the second part...

Do you only have one microphone?
Is there one built into the camera?
I'm asking because on your last question, it sounded so quiet I had to turn all the settings on my speakers to full. even then I had to get my ear really close to the speaker. If there is only one Microphone and it's on the interviewee, can you please speak up next time so the viewers can hear you or get a second microphone?
If there is a microphone built into the camera can you please speak into it when you are speaking? It helps a lot when I'm making a transcript of the video or are just watching it.

Not supporting Windows Server 2003 is a critical hole in Windows Media Connect. I rellay hope MS will fix this.

I Agree, they need to add support for Windows Server. Thats what stores all of my Videos and Music, This is packaged with the Install of Windows Media Player 11, That too i would like them to Release onto Windows Server! Sad

Windows Media Connect 2.0 for Windows 2003 server (Win2K3) is a very good idea indeed. As already stated, if one stores al media on a Windows 2003 server to serve a network of PC's, one is not able to share media files with Media Connect.

Neither Mediaplayer 11 nor Media Connect 2.0 can be installed on Win2K3.

Someone stated it is due to the lack of uPnP on Win2K3, is this inedead the case?

Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve it? Or does anyone know if Microsoft will come up with a solution?

I am also still searching for a Microsoft renderer for WinXP (a Connect client), does anyone know if that is coming any time soon?
