In this interview, Tyler Whitney, a developer on the Visual Basic compiler team, demonstrates how line termination has changed in the Visual Basic 10 compiler making underscores unnecessary as line continuation indicators. This makes your code more readable especially when writing multi-line LINQ queries.

Yes it's true, many underscores are unemployed so the team has created a support group for them at www.unemployedunderscores.com Smiley

For more information, check out Tyler's post on the VB Team blog.

I hate to be a party pooper, but unemployment is no laughing matter, folks, especially these days.

C'mon lighten up people, even in a downturn you can permit yourself a few seconds of laughter; good for the stress!

I agree, times are tough and cracking a joke every now and again keeps the spirits up.

Nobody is making fun of people who are unemployed. I doubt there would even be a mention of it two years ago.
