James Conard takes us on a tour of the Windows Workflow Foundation Offices. Something a bit different for Thanksgiving. Here we have a tour of the Workflow Foundation team. Don't know what Windows Workflow Foundation is? Check out their blog. Out of all the technologies we've seen, it could have the biggest impact in how you'll work with others.

There's a lot to this video, we go from office to office, so you get to hear what people are working on, and at about 34:00 we get a demo of statemachines in WF.

And, with that, happy Thanksgiving, we're taking the next few days off and we'll be back on air on Monday.

Great video! All of use here working on Windows Workflow Foundation are very excited about the technology and its impact on both Microsoft products and ISV/corporate development. When you put together Visual Studio 2005, Windows 12 and WinFX with WF you get a very powerful toolset for quickly building rich business applications.

Is this technology going to be used in the next Exchange to replace the god awful VB-Script based one in it at the moment?

Great technology, I see huge usage potential in most of the projects I am working on. Any RTM release or GO Lives license dates yet clear?

No, unfortunately Windows Workflow Foundation will not be used in the next version of Exchange.

The RTM for Windows Workflow Foundation is scheduled for early Q3 2006.   This will be a standalone release designed to support Office "12".  Then Windows Workflow Foundation will also be included with WinFx later in the calendar year.   We're working on the plans for go-live licenses now.   Stay tuned to http://www.WindowsWorkflow.net and http://msdn.microsoft.com/workflow for more details on go-live licenses.

Unfortunately we don't have that example posted yet, but we do have a example application that is very similiar.  The Workflow Designer Control Example re-hosts the Workflow Designer control in a custom Windows Forms application and enables drag-and-drop from a toolbox of activities onto the design surface.
