I am having problems publishing an excel list to my site. I have installed
wss 3.0 and added aspnetsqlmembershipprovider as the authentication. I have
anonymous access disabled, with client integration enabled. When I try to
publish the xls file it returns an error saying that it cannot find the site.
I checked the url and it is fine.

Also, if I have I have the default windows authentication setting enabled
excel can publish fine. I was wondering if any one has been able to publish
excel files with forms authentication?

Thanks,
Paymon

Hi everybody.

This tutorial is really excellent Smiley

However, i have a question : does it works if you don't have the SharePoint sServer - I mean, if you want to install it on the free version of SharePoint WSS 3.0 ?

I would have another question, because i'm quite new on the subject Expressionless : This authentication process, thanks a table in a SQL server => is it what is called a LDAP ? Because i would like to use this table also for other open-source softwares such as Mantis... How is it possible to reuse these data ? [A]

Thank you very much for your help and for this video.

Best wishes,

Gzave

Thanks for the webcast. It appears that your Visual Studio 2005 environment is different from mine. What Visual Studio 2005 environment should I install to successfully follow this tutorial? I am a new system administrator who has unfortunately inherited this task.
