Document Information Panels are user interface elements that allow users to edit document metadata from within Office 2007 applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This tutorial demonstrates the integration that exists between Document Information Panels and content types in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. It also steps through building a custom form with Microsoft InfoPath 2007 that can be used as a Document Information Panel and testing it inside Microsoft Office Word 2007.

Such a happy dude.
This is a great demo. The only thing I wish you would have covered to round the article off is how to implement the data gathered in the document information panel right into the document itself. By really great start!!!!
