Microsoft Office SharePoint Server introduces Excel Services to provide a server-side engine for loading Excel spreadsheets, calculating formulas and rendering their output as wide-reach HTML targeting the browser. This tutorial steps through the process of configuring Excel Services so that you can publish an Excel spreadsheet to a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site and then render it to the browser using the server-side rendering engine of Excel Services.

Thanks for taking the time & trouble to do this video.  It made it very easy to get up and running!
My sharepoint 2007 site does not allow me to complete this demo.

"Open Shared Services Admin Site" choice is disabled.

Any help?
As much as I hate Ted Pattison saying URL like "earl" (I prefer U-R-L myself, but that's just me Expressionless), his webcasts make short order of things I want to know and deploy here for my client.

Thanks for this, it's really quite helpful. Now I'm wondering how I might lock down particular rows/columns/tab in a spreadsheet.

Can't view the demo. Getting the message:

Media Failure. Try reloading the page or visiting the site for assistance.

NOTE- part of the error message was truncated but I pieced together the missing words.
