Tsitsi Gora, UX Designer at Microsoft, appears on the show to announce the new Silverlight themes that her team has been working on. Tsitsi demonstrates the new themes available for download and explains the scenarios they had in mind when they created the themes. The new themes include:
- Jet Pack
- Cosmopolitan
- Windows 7
- AccentColor
She also takes a deep look at the cosmopolitan theme and shows how you can customize it, if need be. Tsitsi wraps up by demonstrating some tips you can use to maintain design consistency in your application, including how to apply a simple behavior to your
TextBox and content presenters. Tsitsi drops a ton of great design tips throughout this episode—you don't want to miss it.

Nice episode. It's good to see some more of the design side of silverlight since a lot of episodes recently have been more heavy lifting. I love them both.
Where can I download those themes templates?
Silverlight 4 Application Themes
Very nice episode! Thanks!
Tsitsi, you have very good presentation skills and amazing personality, it helps viewer to digest new concepts easily!
Where do you download the Jet Pack theme? The zip only has the other 3 templates.
Update to my post above... Looks like the final bits for Jet Pack theme are on Tim Heuer's desk and should be released soon.

That's true ... they will be ready soon.
Tsitsi at the moment you have the slowest loading silverlight website I have ever come across.
All right there is this bug again. Have a look at the CPU usage if you navigate to the cosmo styles for the toolkit controls. http://www.silverlight.net/content/samples/sl4/themes/cosmopolitan.html#/Toolkit
I already experienced this when I used the dark expression theme and I was able to track it down to the expander control style. I couldn't figure out what caused the high CPU usage, but I had to rebuild the style by myself to get rid of it. Maybe it has something to do circular referenced styles what drives the SL runtime crazy.
However, it would be nice if somebody could fix this problem in the official theme packs.
JefPack theme is here... http://timheuer.com/blog/archive/2010/09/09/silverlight-jetpack-theme-released.aspx
