Virtual Earth continues to evolve and support a very robust programming model which allows developers to create unique and interesting mapping applications. One of the most recent developments is that there is a brand new Virtual Earth Mapping control which uses Silverlight for rendering. This provides for a far richer control which gives the developer almost unlimited potential in what they can do. In this episode I've got Chris Pendleton on hand to help us understand some of the benefifts of this new control and show us some of its capabilities.

To see more about this control, you can check out the video of Chris' presentation at MIX09 here:

1. Do you have links and/or documentation that clearly show an overall cost and how to purchase Map Controls and Mapping Services?

2. Will the RTW Silverlight Bing Map Control cost anything to use?  If so, how much?  Is it included in question #1 information?

Thanks

When can I use this on Map.Live.com or Map.Bing.com?

Drawing 10s of thousands of points in milliseconds? I'd like to see that before I believe it. Don't get me wrong... Silverlight is great, but not THAT great (unless we are talking 10s of thousands of milliseconds  Smiley )
