“ProLearning is designed to maximize the experience of distance learning. It’s composed by an immersive virtual reality environment, where students exchange experience and study together. This environment makes easier the interaction between tutor and pupils, so teachers can give proper feedback to students. ProLearning also offers a social network application, stimulating socialization and interaction of students and providing education process’ important aspects unavailable on distance learning environments, as the perception your pairs development and the ability of sharing your knowledge. Finally, ProLearning has the Mobile module, providing a personalized and automatically updated schedule for the student, indicating and alerting on proper time the activities to be done by the student on his distance learning courses. Optionally, the student is able to see the status of his friends in some particular activity, and realize a VoIP call to get some help. Templated SMS messages can also be sent in this module to friends and teachers.”

Most of the video coverage can be seen (in near real-time) on Channel 8 so please check it out!

Here, our good friend Joe Wilson, Director of Academic Evangelism and grand poobah of the Imagine Cup, walks us around on a tour of the scene and introduces us to each of the competion categories.

Come along with us. This is a fun tour of a great event!

Note: This video was processed to go on Channel 8, but I decided it belongs on 9 given the length and tone of it. Also, since Joe is walking and talking with me, it just seems natural for this to be on 9. You'll see a few more Imagine Cup videos on 9, but most will show up on 8.

<evnet:views>8235</evnet:views><evnet:viewtrackingurl>http://channel9.msdn.com/249453/WebViewBug.aspx?EVT=0</evnet:viewtrackingurl><evnet:previewtext>The Imagine Cup finals are happening and we're in Soeul, Korea to cover the event for Channels 8 and 9. For two weeks, these 6 teams were provided with extensive training focusing on how to take their applications to the next level: to market. This two week "event" is known as Innovation Accelerator and the purpose is to help teams understand and develop a business plan (of course, not all teams plan to "sell" their applications, but all of them were excited to learn about how to present their innovations in a way that will appeal to business folks, like, you know, venture capitalists and the like).

Here, Joe Wilson, who's team runs the Imagine Cup, introduces the presentations (and concisely points out the meaning of the event).

Here are the Team Presentations:

Brazil: <a href="http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281352>http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281352
China: <a href="http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281353>http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281353
Croatia: <a href="http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281356>http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281356
Germany: <a href="http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281360>http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281360
Italy: <a href="http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281363>http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281363
Norway: <a href="http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281366>http://channel9.msdn.com/Showpost.aspx?postid=281366

Enjoy!!!
