Microsoft is releasing a cool Facebook SDK

Today Microsoft released a Facebook SDK to make it easy for .NET devs to use the Facebook Open Stream API. The SDK supports apps in Silverlight, WPF, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and Windows Forms. The Windows Developer Center has the download, how-to guides, a wiki, and sample code to get you started.

Now go create something cool (and let me know when you do).

Getting to know: Yuri Alkin

Yuri Alkin is a man of many interests, and many great accomplishments. He leads the Enterprise Social Computing team (over at Engineering Excellence group) responsible for Microsoft internal projects such as CodeBox, ToolBox and Mingle. His job is to lead creation and adoption of systems that help people at Microsoft achieve more by connecting and collaborating with each other. Another way to define his job (in case you like buzzwords) is to say that he's responsible for driving adoption of Enterprise 2.0 technologies and practices at Microsoft. He is passionate about the opportunities social computing brings to the enterprise and has been spearheading Microsoft's major internal efforts in this space. So, let's get to know Yuri Alkin.

Bill Hill: On Channel 9, Niners and Homo Sapiens 2.0

Long time Niner, typography master, ClearType co-inventor and more-than-avid reader Bill Hill reflects on Channel 9, the state of the economy, Homo Sapiens 2.0 and the next version of, well, Bill Hill (Bill Hill 4.0?). :)

Bill was the focus of one of the very early interviews on Channel 9 and it was where we captured the raw human quality that makes Channel 9 special. Of course, Bill Hill is great to listen to and learn from. We were lucky to get him early on in our development as it really helped us grow and plot a content course for C9. Thank you, Bill. You are a legendary Niner. Much love!
