For example, in the settings you can configure to show videos by country, for a specific Soapbox user, or by a search term. You can change the look and feel, adjusting items like number of thumbnails, pages, scroll speed, and more. On the main interface for the gadget itself, you can sort and filter videos by category, “what’s hot,” highest rated, and a lot more. There’s even a search box within the gadget itself so you can look for a specific video.

This particular gadget is designed for Windows Vista computers, but it works on Windows 7, too. However, I wasn’t able to get the inline video player working when on 7, it instead played videos in my web browser.

Although the program works on Vista, it’s clearly a Sidebar replacement, so you wouldn’t want to run both at the same time. As a blogger, I also love the Feedburner Readers gadget, so I can obsessively check my subscriber numbers, and since I collect Coke Rewards point, I was happy to find a gadget just for that. I've also added the System Control gadget, which is definitely one of the better shutdown gadgets out there, offering you the ability to do more than just the normal Shutdown, Restart, Lock, and Sleep / Hibernate. It also lets you Switch User, Log Off, Run Task Manager, open the Run Window, and run the Command Prompt.

This brilliant little creation brings IE8's WebSlices (bits of web content that you can access from the new IE8 Favorites Bar) right to your desktop via a simple Vista Sidebar gadget.

The gadget, currently in alpha (you've been warned!), requires Vista (unknown if x64 supported, but let us know), IE8, and a web page that has some WebSlices. Each instance of the WebSlice Viewer shows only one WebSlice, so you will need to open multiple gadgets to show multiple views.
