When we were young, most kids went to summer camp in some remote part of the country to eat strange food and play strange games. Some of us were scouts of various types, while others were more vertically-integrated; doing nothing but refining the art of fencing or cello. If only there were something designed for the new (and typically techie) American pastime of entrepreneurialism.

This summer might just be your shot. If you’ve been working long nights on your revolutionary business idea, TechStars should be right up your street. From June through August you can come together with veteran entrepreneurs and other self-starters to get your business off the ground. Each of up to three founders receive $5,000 in startup capital for a 5% equity stake.
