The weapons are recreations of Halo's Convenant Plasma Rifle and Plasma Pistol. The replicas are made with metal and plastic materials, giving them a heavy presense and an authentic look and feel. Not mere collector items, these weapons are also functional: vibrations, sounds, lights, and recoil allow players to recreate the action of the game in real life. The Plasma Rifle even "overheats" and the heat exchange flanges will pop open on the side. Another feature is "Laser Pursuit" technology, which includes an infrared beam and included target that registers hits on an LCD counter. The Rifle & Pistol will be available in October, soon after the release of Halo 3. A convenant Energy Sword will be released in 2008.
