In this video, Chris Anderson and Jeremy Thake introduce Azure Functions. Azure Functions is an event-based, serverless compute experience to accelerate your development. It can scale based on demand and you pay only for the resources you consume. This session will show you how to get started in the Azure Portal, work locally in Visual Studio Code, debug locally using the Azure Functions CLI, and much more.

    The Discussion

    • User profile image

If I use C# to write my Azure Function, what .NET edition/version and OS can I expect?

I use GDI+ to enhance the image uploaded by user, so if it is .NET core or Linux, I cannot use GDI+.

Another question is can I pInvoke to use win32 APIs or my custom C++ dll?

Note: I need to encode the slide-show (with user photos) into video, so Directshow or Media Foundation is must-have. Windows 10 is important to me.
