About Cliff Simpkins
Cliff Simpkins is product manager for the Windows Phone developer experience. He is responsible for managing and evolving the phone's developer application platform, acting as the primary lens between marketing and the engineering/planning organizations.
Prior to his current role, Cliff was the product manager and planner for Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), and also spent a few years in Microsoft's Developer Platform Evangelist organization managing Global ISV companies in the content management and search ecosystem. Prior to joining Microsoft, Cliff was a manager with Accenture, where he worked with governmental revenue departments across the US and abroad.
About Brian Gorbett
Brian Gorbett is a startup guy in Microsoft's Developer & Platform Evangelism (dpe) division, responsible for engaging partners and customers around developer tools and platform technologies. He is currently leading the startup initiative for the central region of the United States and actively seeks out passionate technology startups with innovating ideas. An active developer and technologist, Gorbett has contributed to national publications on Microsoft technologies and still codes on a daily basis. He has recently been working on delivering rich user experiences using Windows Azure and demonstrating the power of the platform to partners and emerging businesses. Before joining Microsoft, Gorbett managed a team of developers and designers responsible for delivering next generation rich internet applications. Gorbett resides in Chicago, Il, but can be found on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, or just about any other social network.
