Mixin' it up with Beth and Ray: MIX07 Under the Hood

Sign in to queue

Description

I had the pleasure of chatting with Ray Winninger and Beth Goza yesterday about MIX07. They know a little bit about MIX since they are two of the folks who are running the show, which includes thinking up the details behind the event, constructing the philosophy, and ensuring that MIX really is a conversational event, as opposed to the typical presentational affair.

Here, we chat about the What and Why of MIX. Why are we doing this event, anyway? What makes MIX different than, say Tech Ed or PDC or any of our corporate sponsored conferences? Well, Beth and Ray sure know the answers to these and many more MIX questions. We also spend some time talking about the MIX07 Sandbox (which is what yours truly is working on along with the incredible Hans Hugli and management overhead Mike Swanson - just kidding, as you know, Mike is quite the developer...) Tune in. See you in Vegas! Yeah, baby.

Mix 07 will be a "blogger friendly" event--Scoble they are going to let you in after all! Smiley

However, you must get through Microsoft Security.! Wink

Just tell them you are with Twitter--that will get you in.

Robert and Rory should get together and have a couple of beers or cool-aid.

Adam from Channel 9 is going to be one of the judges on the Mix 07 remix contest.

    I am in big trouble.

    Cool

Jeff was at MIX06, will anyone from Yahoo or Google be there?

Was that green apple some sort of subliminal advertising?

What about the Heineken? MS must be more of a cool place to work than I thought originally.

Surely the only way to settle php vs. asp is a fight to the death.

Sounds good, are you going to do a similar event in Europe, as Vegas is quite a long way too far?

I love that reference to "The Bloggers" makes them sound like some kind of weird clone-army.

Edit: This is why you should wait for the very end before asking questions.

Plus: If you're going to have a similar site to channel9 are you going to be able to cross-post videos as well as just linking between the sites?
